Direct Plug-In Controller
Professor Motor is planning a direct plug-in controller to be used with most of today's popular racing sets, but it will be a while until those models are introduced. We also get a great number of technical questions as to how to adapt today's current controllers to home sets such as the very nice track (but questionable controllers) produced by the Carrera * company. With a little ingenuity and a device to determine electrical polarity (such as a DVOM) almost any home set can be adapted to be used with a better quality controller. The schematic shown below would allow direct adaptation to the Carrera * terminal track. The terminal track side unit can also be unscrewed to allow direct connect going to the four wires coming from the track rails. More powerful power supplies can also be substituted using the schematic below. If questions please click on the link below and drop us a line. Happy racing !
